This book is basicilly about a girl named Batya, how she moves from russia to amirca because of a porgram, how on the ship her sister becomes deaf, how her life in amirica in amizing, diffrent and her dream becomes true.

I read this book very fast because the story is so pretty and different. I really enjoyed it!

I really, really, liked this book. I read it about a million times. But I thought it was too short. I kept wondering what would happen to Batya next. I think there should be a sequel.

This is a cool book. I like how Batya proves herself as a carver to her family and neighbors. If you like books on Jewish people, this book is perfect.
