The shield of the maccabees is a very good and interesting book. It teaches about friendship and how to defend someone when they are in trouble even though they are supposed to be your enemy. My favourite part in the book was when the two boys became friends and their friendship started to grow and grow until they were the best friends ever seen. I really liked this book and I recommend this book to anyone! I want to read it once again to remember everything once and for all :)

My favorite part about the story is that it was written like a comic book. And I really liked the characters. I wonder if this story is true it seems like it could be and I really, really liked it. I'm going to read it again.

This is a pretty good book. It doesn’t exactly have Hanukkah in it, but it’s still pretty interesting.
