I love this book because of the adventures and excitement. I think that it is very sad that no country would let these people in. After reading the book I was able to research the M.S. St. Louis and learn about the actual events.
I love the way that 37days at sea describes sea voyages from boarding a boat to the dock and the challenges.
A lovely book, and amazing, smooth, blend of poetry and realistic fiction, I recommend to people into poetry, realistic fiction, holocaust related books, and amazing books😌.
This is a book about the voyage of the MS St. Louis, told by Ruthie, a Jewish girl who left Germany with her family. The boat is headed to Cuba, but by the time they arrive in Cuba, they are not allowed to enter. The story shows that Ruthie is scared, brave, and misses her grandma.
There was a lot of adventure things in this but it was worth it to learn all of the stories
