This book is kind of boring and confusing with lots of short chapters.
I think it was beautiful. The place setting is beautiful, the story is beautiful, and the cover is beautiful. The story is told in 3 different ways-3 different people- Julie, Martha, and Bruno. They discover that the baby belongs to a special person. If you like fictional and emotional-thinking books, read "The summer we found the baby" by Amy Hest!
I loved how at the end of each chapter there was a cliffhanger and it all got answered at the end of the book!!
It is told by 3 people, who each have a different perspective. This makes it very interesting to read.
I absolutely love this book! It follows three kids through their own experience of finding a baby on the town library steps. Seeing this story through the eyes of kids like me and my siblings makes it really personal and believable. I love how this book captures the perspectives of each main character. As a military family, we enjoyed reading this book together for its historical and personal relevance. The mystery and conclusion were so engaging and sparked so much emotional connection. We loved how the story looped back and tied in through the storytelling of kids! We will ALWAYS keep this book and return to it again and again.
