i like this book but it's more an 8/10
A good book! It tells a lot about a kid going through hard times. His grandpa told good stories. It was okay to read!
Reuven ("Mr. Lister") has an excellent memory, dislikes change of any kind, and feels better when he follows the lists that his favorite adult, Mr. Bookman the librarian, helped him to write. This is a terrific story of friendship--with other kids and with caring adults who understand you. One of the things I love most about the book is that the author describes Reuven's talents and problems so well but never gives him a medical label.
