It was a cool perspective on 15th century Spain and how it was like especially for Jews. One thing that really caught my attention was the way the author made the feeling of longing feel real.

A Ceiling Made Of Eggshells is about Loma, a girl who comes from a wealthy Jewish family in 15th century Spain. In this time period, Jews were vastly discriminated against, and a few basic rights were taken away from them. Loma is her grandfather's favourite grandchild, and he seems to have big plans for her. But as time goes on, Loma wonders if her own dreams will ever come true. This story takes us over 10 years of Loma's life, full of life and death, happy moments and sad moments (don't worry, most of them are not so sad), and love. I recommend this to anybody who enjoys historical fiction, and anyone who wants a nice, medium-sized read. Love this book!
