WOW! I really loved this book! Zelly really (reallyreallyreallyreallyreally) wants a dog. Her grandfather, Ace, comes up with a wacky idea to use an old orange juice jug as a "practice dog".Every day, Zelly must feed it, take it on two-three walks a day, and let it out to go to the bathroom (don't ask. read.) and it is way too awkward for Zelly to do all of this. Will Zelly get the dog she's always wanted? Will Ace come up with another weird idea in the sequel, Aces Wild? I don't know. You'll just have to read the book to find out!

I think this book was awesome because her grandfather just changed a plastic dog into a a sort of live pet and then she got a real dog!!!!!
