Lily Renee was a refugee and lived with her penpal. Her mother wasn't so nice to her and she became a nurse when she was older.

I loved it, you got moved through the story like if it was you on the story.

True though sad, this book paints an excellent picture of the holocaust through a jewish teen's lens.

Amazing book, but sad
