One thing that I liked about the book My Basmati Bat Mitzvah is the diverse culture. I liked how the main character Tara has an Indian heritage because of her mom who is from India and is in the Jewish culture because of her dad. I also liked the friendship with Rebbeca and Tara. Also I liked the various twists in the book. One twist was how Ben-o liked Tara but I knew it from the start like how in the beginning he put his arm around her I actually thought they were dating because she was twirling his hair but she was so clueless that he liked her but when she looked in the schedule that he gave her and she looked at valentine day it was a heart next to it she knew at that moment. But to sum it all up this book was AMAZING!!!!!

This book was sooo good! It tells the story of Tara Feinstein, just your average Jewish-Indian-American girl. She is trying to figure out whether or not she will have a bat mitzvah. This book is hilarious but deep at the same time. I HIGHLY recommend it. Everyone keep reading!

Awesome, relatable character. It was interesting to learn about another culture. Lots of information, but given in a pleasing, fun way. Perfect amount of romance (just a little), friendship (a lot) and family (also a lot). Overall a great story, pick this book!
