I love it
By the time I finished Broken Strings, I was feeling so many different emotions, both good and bad. I was feeling heartbroken and inspired, confused and certain, angry and amazed. Nonetheless, it was an amazing story.
This book did not only tell a powerful story, but it got me lost! This book is better for mid-age teens. It gets complicated with many events happening at the same time. Overall, this book was not too bad, but I like the story. Enjoy!
This story is powerful and painful, but also full of love, not just boyfriend-girlfriend love, but also grandfather-granddaughter love, so much that the grandfather trusts his granddaughter even more than his son and daughter. This story is sad and heartbreaking, representing the story of a man who has gone through the most unimaginable cruelty and has seen the most heartwrenching things and finally tells his daughter the power of music and how it had been poisoned for him when it used to be his life. Shirli learns the true power of music, and finally finds herself and her family through her Zayde's story.
I love this book. A person can find out how much the Holocaust affected people. I got it from the library and could not put it down!
