just because it is about a girl does not mean that boys cant read it. because I'm a boy and I liked it.

This book was so good! It made me think more about how people manage hurricanes, a subject I had never really thought about.

But the main character Gertie, at times in the book can be stubborn, and a brat. And at times, make bad choices. It's a good book to read when you are bored, or if you are sick in bed.

The book is about a kid and there's a hurricane so they have to go away to a family member's house, but his dad can't come because he's a doctor and has to stay behind, and he only comes for holidays. The kids misses him a lot. There are a bunch of short stories inside. They saw his dad on the news carrying out the torah because it's a Jewish hospital. It was very good! I liked that it was the perfect length, and how enthusiastic the kid was even though there was a hurricane.
