this is a really good book!!! I really liked It. I definitely recommend it!! I liked all of the characters- Especially Zayde, and Ben. oh and of course Shirli I like how Zayde unfolds his life in bits. This book has a lot of surprises and twists and turns!!!

This book is amazing you should definitely read it!!

This book made me laugh but also emotional. It is written in a way that made me ask lots of questions about the real events that I read in the story. I liked the characters especially Shirly's grandfather, Zayde. I would like that more non jewish children will read this book and ask questions and have a bit more knowledge about the jewish families at that times.

I loved the book, and how her Zayde slowly opens up to her about his life as a child during the Holocaust. A bit of a surprising ending, but I loved it. Great book!

this book was really good. there were some sad parts but it was still really good and i recommend this book to everyone!
