This was a great book about a kid and his dog Hanno and how Rudi saved his dog from the war

At first when I started this book it was sad. But once I really got into it, it got exciting. I realized in this book that Rudi had an incredible friendship with his dog Hanno. My favourite line in this book is when Tilly is talking and she says that ''this war is for children and their animals." Rudi has an older sister Lotte and he has a best friend Sidney. Just so you know Rudi is from Germany and moved to England.

it was confusing at first but i read more and it got better but i wish it was longer

This book is a very good. It is all about friends, family, and a very cute little dog. I like that it tells a fiction and fun story about children and pets in World War 2, not just adults.
