Pretty good, 3 and 1/2 stars

Review by Reader22

I'd love to read the other Amelia books, I have a feeling that they might be better. Some parts of this book were strange, like Amelia's relationship with her sister and even the basic plot line. I definitely felt this book lacked Jewish content. Surprised it made it on PJ Our Way. But it was a funny, charming book, Amelia is a pretty realistic character and the quirky, hand-done text adds a lot. Having read none of the other Amelia books I felt like I was missing something, but the basic idea was understood. A completely fine, enjoyable story, go for it, but only if nothing else looks better!

Meh

This book was cool but kind of easy. I recommend it to grades 3-4.

This book was pretty good

I liked some of the other Amelia books better than this one. First of all even though it’s a journal 📓 I feel like it is not completely accurate to what being in middle schoool feels like. This same thing might not be true for others but It definitely is for me. Another reason I don’t love it is because she talks about her own problems so much that eventually you just get a little bored. Amelia says the same things over and over again that any time she says I have a problem you know exactly what she is about to say. On the other hand I feel like it does depict some accurate things like that some sisters don’t always agree and that it is probably scary to be going to high school.

Good but needs more detail

Review by gab822

i think that this book is like a diary but it needs more detail and more plot. I would recommend this book but it did not make as much sense as I would like.
