Ari Fish is the luckiest when he finds a Wayne Timcoe card. When he finds it missing, he knows he'll have a bad season of soccer. But in the end, he finds that friendship, not betrayal, will be the best way to be.

This book was just OK

As soon as I saw it was about soccer, I jumped to the conclusion that I would like it and picked it as my choice. I realized I was mistaken when I started reading it and figured out it was not really much about soccer but about stolen trading cards and found the book really boring. I would recommend this book to people who are into special trading cards but I would not be fooled from the soccer ball on the front of the book.

A great book if you like sports as well as jewish traditions.

I loved this book!

BEYOND LUCKY, is a top-notch book with a great blend of the importance of sports with Jewish traditions. The lesson of the book is clear, but the book doesn't focus too much on sports or Jewish traditions or grades, it focuses on everything.

This book was just OK

I think this was a bad book, just not much excitement. The plot was not that good, and the twist was fixed too easily.

Beyond Lucky is an amazing book for all sports and humor lovers. It is one of those books were when the book ends the story dosen't. You want to hear more, but the author ends before Ari's Bar Mitzvah. Before he talks more with his brother. Sarah Aronson is a brilliant author and you should read her book.

I love soccer, so i loved this book. I have re-read Beyond Lucky numerous times.
I definitely recommend for ages 8-12.

In the book, Ari finds a lucky soccer card of his idol, the amazing goalie from his hometown, Somerset valley, and starts playing really well. Then his lucky card goes missing, and it seems like he can't play anymore. His best friend Mac becomes jealous of his new friendship with the only girl on his team, Parker Llewlyn. (i think i spelled that wrong) He becomes torn between Mac and Parker, who both hate each other, and has no clue what has become of his lucky card, all while he misses and worries about his older brother who went off to be a smoke-jumper firefighter. This is a funny and moving book. I hope you enjoy.

Beyond Lucky!

This book was a beyond luck choice. A kid, Ari Fish , struggles with a friend ( a.k.a Mac) and wonders if he is truly a good friend. He searches for a lucky card and gets it one day, hoping it will give him luck for his soccer team, but can he do good without the card? He has a crush named Parker, who, by the way is the only girl on his soccer team. I enjoyed this intriguing book, and I know you will too.
I recommend this book for ages 10+.

This book made me think more about friendship.

This very lucky story is action packed, has twists and turns and so far Ari Fish is doing a great job as goalie. Later he finds a very rare soccer card but then loses the very rare Wayne Timcoe card. Do you think he can win his season not having his very lucky card? To find out read this awesome book to find out.

I would read more books by this author.

This book made me think more about being Jewish.

This book made me think about being lucky and loyalty in friendship. You have to be a good friend to keep a good friendship. I also learned that you do not have to have a lucky card to be lucky. Also luck can also depend on our actions for instance if you are mean to someone later on you might get bad luck but bad actions or good actions can lead to good or bad luck.

Great book!

This is a book about Ari Fish, a soccer player that found an amazing soccer trading card and was suddenly twice as good. Then he suddenly looses it and starts to play a little worse each game. He became sad until someone teaches him that all you have to do is believe in yourself. I don't usually read sports books, but this one was amazing!

This book is about a boy named Ari Fish who finds a REALLY rare trading card. He has great luck, but then he loses it somehow. He blames it on the girl who is playing on the team. In the end, he makes up with her and he has the confidence to play soccer without his trading card.

You don't have to be lucky to play soccer. A good friend on the team can really help you improve your game! A lucky card may seem important, but friendship boosts your confidence much higher.

A great read for anyone

Hey, Ari Fish here from
Beyond Lucky
...
I heard you might want to read my book.
Is that true?
Well... anyway...in my book I get a super-lucky soccer trading card of Wayne Timcoe. Cool right!?! All my luck starts going way up. I even get the starting goalie position!! Then the card goes missing. Do you think my luck can stay high up??? You will have to read to find out. See ya later, in my book of course...

Ari Fish

P.S. My book is the right combination of sports and humor (basically, it’s amazing).
