Penina Levine is a Hard-Boiled Egg

Penina Levine’s in BIG trouble. She’s already been sent to the principal’s office and gotten detention. Maybe she’ll even flunk sixth grade. All because of one assignment. Which she is NOT going to hand in. EVER.

Review by Judah

This book is about an 11 year old Jewish girl named Penina Levine who gets a new teacher, and the teacher forces her to do a project on the Easter bunny, and Penina does not want to do it, but her teacher said that if she does not do it she will get a big 0% on her grade. She has to take care of the problem with the help of her grandmother and parents. She learns valuable life lessons about diversity and respect.

Awesome!

I really liked this book! I related to it, and it was really funny. Also, it wasn't that hard to read either so I would highly recommend it.

I don’t know...

Review by CurlySue

I LOVED this book because I could really relate to her problems, etc. But now that I look back, she also was kinda mean and also whiny. Depends on who you talk to I guess.

Comforting

Review by leveygirl

I really like how it deals with some problems that come with being a older sibling. I often feel like Penina. This book has also become my "I'm sick" book.

This book was boring and is about a kid who thinks that her life is terrible and that she has all the problems in the world on her shoulders. I felt sorry for all the characters in the book who had to interact with her
