I loved this book!

Out of all the books l have gotten from PJourway , this is defenetly the best! It says in the 'Book details' that the book is eleven+, but I read it when I was nine, and it was totally great! The reason I like this book is because it has a little bit of everything. Suspense, tense friendships, and romance. I highly recomend this book!

It was good

This book has an air of suspense about it through the whole book. The main character is always in danger. It was a good read because it taught me about the Spanish Inquisition.

This book was just OK

This book made me think more about friendship.

the boy from seville is a pretty slow book in my opinion the exitment doesn't pick up untill the book is well under way and not very realistic but a good book if you get into the book

surreal

This book made me think more about friendship.

the boy from seville is a sort of slow book. in my opinion the book didn`t pick up until the middle of the book. and should have a better starting becouse you could pick it up and get bored before anything exiting starts.

Interesting and Exiting

I liked this book.

I learned more about Jewish history from this book.

I enjoyed reading this book because it was interesting and exiting.
This book is about a Jewish boy, Manuel, who lives in Seville, Spain, during the Spanish Inquisition. He has to pretend that he is Christian because if the inquisitors find out that he is Jewish, he and his whole family would be persecuted and burned alive. I learned from this book more about how scary the Spanish Inquisition was.

Best Book

I liked this book.

I learned more about Jewish history from this book.

This book was okay. It was a little hard to follow, and teaches you about when Jews couldn't practice our religion. It was not that long and was good enough.

Mostly Great

I liked this book.

I learned more about Jewish history from this book.

I thought this was a good book, it was very suspenseful and fun to read. One thing I would change, would be making the beginning less confusing. The first time I read the beginning, it didn't make sense so I had to read it again. Once you get through the hard beginning, it is a great book though.

interesting

I liked this book.

I learned more about Jewish history from this book.

I think you should definitely try out this book. But in some parts it's hard to understand what's happening. For example, when someone said something it's hard to know where they are when they say something but I knew what was happening at the middle and end. I think you should read this book.

I started this book 2 years ago but it was so boring I didn't finish it. When you look at the cover or read the back it looks interesting but it's not. I would NOT recommend this book.

Dorit Orgad

Author of The Boy from Seville

Interviewed in Jerusalem by Yovel Moss, age 9

"For me, reading is like breathing"

As a child, Dorit was not always the best student, but she was always reading and writing. In fact, the minute she learned how to write, she began to create stories - it was her way of coping with difficult times.

Dorit was born in Germany in 1936, right before the start of World War II. Her father was a successful doctor, but when the family escaped to Israel in 1938, he could not find work as a doctor and he became ill while struggling to work as a laborer.

Dorit loves flowers, trees, and good detective stories - because when you read a detective book, you want to find out what's going to happen!
