I really loved this book. It teaches the reader that a woman can do anything that they want to do, even if it is different from what the others are doing.

Very Inspiring

I liked this book.

I found Women Who Broke The Rules: Judy Blume by Kathleen Krull very inspiring. It was a true story about a woman named Judy Blume. Judy Blume wrote many books for children. But her books were very different from all the other books around. This is the story about her life and how she got inspired to write.

Judy Blume is awesome

I absolutely hated this book. I didn't even choose it, but it came. This book actually made me hate Judy Blume. It describes her as an absolutely awful person who I wouldn't want to meet. I wouldn't choose this book in a million years!

Submitted 2/27/2017 by RazyRabbit

When I saw this book on the computer it looked like a great book about a inspiring author, but when I actually read the book it From Reading this book I seemed to like Judy Blume less and less as the book went on, and I do not think that was the intent of the book. I would not red this book again and do not think it is worth your time.

Wish it was longer!
Submitted 2/12/2017 by Carebear

This book was OK but it included info that it didn't need and it didn't included some info that was really important. I wish that it could have been longer, then it could have been more interesting. Yes, I would read more books by this author but also maybe look into a new series because it would be sad if the other books were just the same as this one. I hope you enjoy this book and read on, peace out for now, Carebear

I liked this book.

It was good. It told the readers a lot about Judy Blume's childhood. But it didn't seem particularly Jewish.

This is a great book, about a strong women. I recommend it. I really don't have a good review-writing-skill lol.

Judy Blume sounds really awesome but her biography wasn't.

This book was just OK

This book made me think more about the importance of family.

Judy Blume is an author who wrote for children. She faced many challenges though. It was hard to find an editor because she was a woman and she not only had to stand up for women, but she had to stand up for kids and books. Her books could really happen and they are from the perspective of a kid that could truly be real. Judy Blume was very famous for a short while and then kids started to be banned from reading her books. This book covers all that information but it just doesn't really absorb you into it. It does have some creativity but I don't think enough. If I had written this book I would have added less facts and more silly or creative parts. I would make these parts true though. I would also try to blend in the facts not just state them. So therefore, this book wasn't the best but I learned a lot from it.

Perfect for Me!

I loved this book!

This book made me think more about the importance of family.

Judy Blume had her hands full! She got married 3 times that must be exhausting. Plus she has 2 kids and got rejected for most of her books! But I personally would totally read those books. In fact I have before - the one with Fudge and the turtle can't remember what it is called though but it was a great book also you have to read this book. She got rejected so many times and never gave up until they said yes. We all know what the message is to this book never give up and always try your hardest even when things don't go the way you planned. Love this book!

Great book!

Have you ever read Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing? If you have, and you liked it, read this book and you will find out about the author, Judy Blume. I learned a lot of things and every page is packed with amazing information that I never knew before! Did you know that Judy Blume went to an all-girls college? I didn't know until I read this book. I also didn't know she was so interested in boys.

So if you love biographies, I HIGHLY recommend this book!

Kathleen Krull

Author of Women Who Broke the Rules: Judy Blume

“I love getting the chance to explore subjects I’m passionate about, like history, music, and extraordinary people." – Kathleen Krull

When Kathleen Krull was fifteen, she was fired from her part-time job at a local library. The reason? She was reading too much when she was supposed to be working!

Kathleen has always loved books. After failing at library work, she worked as an editor for other writers’ books, but her real passion is writing children’s books – and she has written over 60! Many of her books are about people like Judy Blume, who have accomplished interesting things in their lives. Kathleen likes to tell the truth. She uses what she calls a “warts and all” approach to writing biographies because she wants to show kids today how people in the past really lived.
